This was taken at Merritt Island as the sun was getting low. His flight was a surprise as he seemed to come from nowhere and as the evening light hit him he was the most gorgeous shade of golden red. It was a beautiful sight for sure.

    Judy:

Lovely light, sharp, like angle in frame and composition. Looks very determined.

    Cheers

Light, low angle and sharpness look very good. I wish we could see the eye a little better.

You cant ask for better light than this Judy, and in turn has brought out lovely warm colours. Well captured.

What a bummer that I missed this image watching the willets instead of the reddish. The light was perfect and you captured a beautiful oncoming angle.

Gorgeous colors, wing position and comp. I like the eye as is, especially with the bird coming at your face. Congrats!

    Hi Judy

Beautiful warm light and lovely details on the bird. Love the wing position and head angle. What amazes me is that you can see nice details on the right wing.

What a colour Judy. You clicked the shutter at the optimal moment. Very beautiful.
