    Default Mum and newborn

This birth took place at 9.04am and this foal was now a full 13 minutes old!:D
It was on it's feet and ready to face the world in just 4 minutes.

A fine natural history image here Marc.. Looks light the sun was fairly high in the sky but you handled it well.

    Marc,
Very nice, although I would have preferred a little more separation between mum and baby. But you take what you can get in these rare circumstances.

Perhaps Marc we should take/show more of these types of images, rather than the norm? It might not be as beautiful, or artistic, but it certainly is more informative to the the reader and tells a story. Very happy that you have chosen to post these two images, purely on content.

Now this is where having a view of the back of the animals works to tell the story and good that you got a nice head angles on them as well.

What a moment. A great Natural History photograph.

Maybe this could stand a slightly tighter crop but as presented works as well.
