    Default Scarlet Ibis - Trinidad

Shot at dusk...so there wasn't much light...but to see 3500 Scarlet Ibis come in to roost for the night is a spectacle I will never forget...

I like the group flight but other than that it doesn't really work for me for several reasons, the birds have merged with each other and with the horizon line leaving an empty spot in the center of the frame, they don't have much detail and there is a lot of noise in BG. It does keep the memory from the moment however

Glenn, I can certainly appreciate this image. Having just visited myself, I realize that conditions are really tough and the birds do not give you opportunities when the light is still good. Nice work pulling off an image. They really are a gorgeous bird. Where did you view the roost? I viewed one from out on the water...even harder with a rocking boat!
