    Shooting birds in flight with Jim Neiger i saw this cormorant land close by and I didn't take the time to change settings so my techs are off:o
    Nikon D-300
    200-400 mm at 400mm
    1/2000 sec at f4
    ISO 800

    ... but the exposure is right !!! Fine looking bird, razor sharp and love the bg !!! Wouldn't mind seeing an even tighter crop !! You will always come up with lots of keepers with Jim !!!!

    Hi Bob - love that eye - I would be tempted to crop much tighter as well.
    More of the focus on the eye and beak - thats the area that really shines.
    Congrats - Like it a lot :)

    Hi Bob, this guy reminds me of the exorcist with his neck almost twisted 360 degrees. Great detail and the exposure is right on. I agree with the crop, that eye is fabulous. Congrats!!

    Bob,
    I really like the eye and beak! You just can't beat breeding markings/plumage. I too think the crop should be tighter but really like the image!
