    Default Skimmers

I took this image at Sanibel Beach. The orig. image was two Skimmers. I duplicated the one skimmer. Then used "threshold" in photoshop to make it a black and white>then on 2 separate layers created the shadows which I made gray. I wanted the shadow of the added Skimmer to be placed differently so it would not seem like a duplicate. Since it is an abstract I wasn't concerned about the positions of the shadows to the sun.

Nice abstract image, Denise. I like how you reduced everything to three tones. Nice comp and the shadows give a sense of motion to the birds.

Good thinking Denise! You got a nice abstract graphic sort of look and feel. I like!

Bold, yet simple. Anyone who knows birds would know immediately which these are and yet they are almost to the point of being abstract. Nice balance, Denise.
