    Default Reddish Egret White Morph

I took this shot at Viera last week. The background is obviously very busy.
I did a mask of the bird and then a blur of the background. The leg is not as
focused as the body and head.
I have more canvas, but was trying to minimize the busy background so cropped
    a little tighter.

    Taken with
    Mark1 DSII
    100-400L at 400MM
    ISO 400
    F6.3
    1/2500

Auto contrast and sharpening of the bird.

Looks like an immature little blue heron !!!

I like the striking pose and raised foot Wish for more room around the bird and light coming from over your shoulder for lighting up the bird !!! Neat juvi !!!

Alfred, you may be right on it being a little blue. Here is another shot of the bird
    from a different angle.

Could you tell me how you tell the difference?
    thanks in advance

Hi Gary - agree with AL - a little tight all the way around, neat bird and he sure is concentrating on catching a meal.
BG doesn't bother me so much shows the habitat and adds to the story.
    :)
