This little fellow was just too cute for words. I created this image outside the Shingwedzi Rest Camp in the Kruger National Park as the troop was out and about in rainy weather.

I like it a lot Morkel !!! Sweet little guy, love those ears !!! Would have been tempted to go for a tight shot but think this works much better showing a little environment !!!

Big time cuteness overload here, Morkel!! Great pose and perfect exposure. I hope that's a leaf it is chewing on and not a potato chip. :) You might consider toning down the leaves/flowers in the URC as they tend to draw my eye. Well done.

    Morkel,
Nice image. I like the composition. It looks like a potato chip to me. :D Tight vertical portrait will also work.

    Cheers,

    thanks Al, Sabya & Steve...

    it's certainly not a chip :)
the little fellow was scrounging around the forest floor for playthings and picked up this leaf, gave it a bite, and threw it away.

Well composed Morkel. Excellent detail, sharpness, clarity and you have to love that expression. Might tone down the BG a tad, as the greens do look a tad bright and a little NR wouldn't hurt IMHO.:)

    Like it!

These guys never fail to produce a great image. Like the detail mate, and well done on the eyes.

As presented in the larger frame, it is lovely. However, my first instinct is for a tighter, vertical crop. Also, I would boost the contrast to get a blacker black on the Pinkface's fur. I especially like his toes and hand on the palmleaf. That whitish X behind his head on his left side could be cloned out, as well as the white leaf.

thanks for the feedback Callie, Steve & Stu...

Callie this guy wasn't particularly that dark so I am happy with how his colours came out :)

I would say I like a very slightly tighter crop from the top, but he's too cute for words.

    thanks Paul!

just for kicks - here is the vertical crop, but also in B&W (using Nik Silver Efex) with vignette to eliminate distracting colours...
