Complicated backgrounds don't usually work too well, but for some reason (IMHO) it works here. Could be textural. comments and critique welcomed. regards~Bill
Nice haqbitat shot Bill. I like the position of the 3 trees in the BG and feel that you have done a great job minimizing the look of clutter w/ the soft color palette. Nice processing as always.
I like the soft application of the Fractalius filter, as you use it. I also like the environmental BG. Nicely done.
If it were mine (I wish ;)) , I would consider boosting the vibrance and brightness/contrast a little. I have attached a quickly done example of the two image, yours being on the left. Additional tweaking of the adjustment might be appropriate, but this gives the idea. But ...
Thanks Denise, Mark. Good idea Mark. I often forget that when shooting under overcast conditions, which I greatly prefer, that increasing contrast is often necessary. Also, since I use layers in the processing, the upper fractalius layer does tend to reduce color saturation substantially, which I usually compensate for by increasing saturation of the base(non-frac layer) which I clearly, as in your demonstration, needed to do here. Thanks Mark. regards~Bill
