    Default Vermillion in the rain

The golf course is a great area for seeing birds. Spotting this vermillion flycatcher this morning while playing in a tournament. Went right home to get my camera and he was still flying off the same brush. He was alternating with the phoebes and a yellow rump. Over an hour or so, I was able to get almost to get within 20 feet or so. Hope seeing him there today means he has a mate on a nest nearby.

I like the bird and the perch, but I wonder if the image was overexposed
since the reds on the head lack detail.
On my monitor I can also see some cloning artifacts on the lower left corner.

Red bird pops nicely against the green BG. Red are significantly clipped losing a lot of detail - reviewing the threads in Educational Resources on reds and reprocessing the file would be worthwhile. Angled away pose is not ideal. BG noise could be reduced. Cloning marks mentioned. I am sure with a bit more work you will extract a lot more from this image. Sounds like a great opportunity that you had on the golf course, Mack.

Agree, there seems to be a signifcant bit of red clipping on the head. First impression is a really nice shot though.

Cool bird, and nice perch. It does however appear that your red channel is blown, and there is quite a bit of noise.
