    Default Common...simple... and beautiful...

I always think that even the most common species should not be overlooked :)

Nothing common about these downunder, Glenn :D. Lovely water and BG colours. Wondering about trimming some from the bottom and adding to the top. Head and neck look a little oversharpened on my monitor but the image is great.

Absolutely agree, Glenn...I still love Canada geese, even if they are common.

Elegant image, nice highlights/details in the blacks and whites.

This is one of the best shots of this species I've seen. Wonderful colors in the water. Perfect HA and composition.

Your title says it all. It always amazes me what good light can do to an image. TFS.

Great light producing the catchlight which is so important in capturing their shots. Wonderful water color. Is this a different subspecies? neck seem quite short. beak seems larger than the photos I have seen of Cackling Goose.

Lovely shot. Loved the colors here. Would like to see a slightly different crop as well, with less of foreground. I think since the reflection is not complete, it might look better with very little of the reflection in the frame...
