Originally this was a pink rose; I lightened up the image a lot and added a white vignette around the center of the rose to give it the high-key look. I also converted the image to B&W, added a sepia tone using hue/saturation and selective color, applied a slight blur overlay, and added some canvas on the left and top.

i like the treatment, christopher. nice tones. wonder if a top side view might have been a stronger compo? did you mean to leave the white border on the top and left?

Suoer effect to start us off this week Christopher. I just love the high key look. The added canvas may need some blending. Nice image:)

Thanks Harold and Denise. You are right that I forgot to blend the added canvas, hopefully this looks better. :)

The blended canvas does improve this delicate image, Christopher. Lovely PP work:)

Beautiful composition, Christopher. Love the tone and the subtle blur edges. Beautifully processed.

Nice image to start the theme week Christopher! The repost is quite nice and a good example of the theme.

lovely. you have produced some great images this week.i like the composition and tones. adding the vignette to emphasize the center was brilliant. wouldn't change a thing.
