    Default Cedar Waxwing

This is from this morning at Shoreline Lake.
I love these birds and look forward to their return in the spring.
The light was weak so I had to sacrifice some DOF.
I hope I'll have more chances to image them in the upcoming days.

I like the soft light, angle and sharpness. The inclusion of the habitat adds to it. If anything, a bit more eye contact would have been nice.

Loverly bird and light. With the bird angled slightly away the head is not as sharp as the rear and could use a bit more sharpening. The colors are sweet, especially of the baby pine cones.

Very beautiful Luis, agree with Arthur that critical focus point seems to be on the wing, would crop slightly tighter.
BTW, I was at the other side in the Baylands, lots of action.

    Thanks Arash, Arthur and Axel.
As Arthur said, the bird was slightly tilted, which left the head a bit OOF. My arms were getting tired of pointing the lens upwards for so long so I wasn't very precise with the focus point. Next time I'll bring the tripod...:D

Anyway, here is a version with the suggested improvements. This is from the previous frame which had the head a bit more in focus. I cropped it to 8x10, which hides part of the clutter on the right side.
