    Hi Folks

Caught this male House Finch flying close to the Cholla cactus in our garden this morning, beautiful sunny morning except for fierce wind trying to blow him off course.

    CC's warmly invited

hey UG. when they are that close and that fast you need some super fast shutter speed!!! would have loved to see this guy coming towards you instead of going away. nice job with the exposure!

Hi Gus - slightly soft from lack of shutter speed - the closer you are to the action the higher the shutter spped required to freeze it.
Like the catchlight in the eye.

    Hi Gus

The only secret to capturing birds in flight is wind direction, need to have birds flying into it !!! Makes things easy !!!
