The Egyptian Goose is the Canada Goose of Africa. It is common and well adapted to artificial environments such as city parks and farm dams. They are very aggressive and chase other waterfowl all the time, as well as other rivals of the same species. This guy was coming in to chase an intruder away from his territory, all the while calling loudly! Image was captured near Johannesburg at Rondebult Bird Sanctuary.

Another great shot, Chris. Great action with the calling and feet raised.

Love the feel of this image Chris and can appreciated the behavior Our local population terrorizes the other birds 24X7X365 I have seen them fighting in the water with one trying to actually kill the other by drowning !!! Love everything about this image The landing pose is spectacular !!!!
