    Default Ruddy Duck

I really like William Muraldo's work..wanted to try and duplicate an image, to make it look like one of his.
I don't have any software that would do that...so I used Fotosketcher and CS4.
I sketched bottom layer using FS, colored pencil..adjusting the stroke length as high as it would go, lightened it.
Then created a new layer of just the original duck, no water. Pasted it in and adjusted the opacity.
Results came out not bad but not as good as I'd liked. Guess I'll have to break down and buy the software.
    thanks for the inspiration Bill...

Paul, I like the effect very much. Another nice application through photoshop is to add a layer w/ the find edges filter and use the blend modes in the layer palette to create a nice image. The tail is too tight, but I think you know that.:) I love the sweet face.

I like the look and love the perfect head angle. The little duck looks as if it is swimming uphill a bit.

Hi Paul, I liked the original post, but I LOVE the repost! :) Excellent pose and treatment, and I love the colors and textures of the water.

The repost is a huge improvement. Lots of room for the bird now.

Great job on this, Paul. Love the repost, but prefer the face on the original. It makes the duck look much younger IMHO:)
