Racket tailed hummingbird taken in the 'Cloud' forest. Sadly their 'perches are not that photogenic, but are all natural and part of the habitat, nothing set up.:)

Soft? At A3 size Scott you could cut your finger on the sharpness:D

Doesn't look soft to me either, and I love the subtle blue and green on the back - but although the underparts are well exposed, I wonder if the wings and head in particular could be brightened a little. Lovely pose. I suspect the head angle police might ask for a little more head turn towards the viewer.

Sreve, I like the angled pose and perch, and you have brought out the detail and colours very well, considering you didnt have a flash. Nothing wrong with the sharpness from my side. Im in two minds about the large leaf in the FG, my eye keeps going down to it. I feel cropping off just above it, you wont lose anything comp wise.

Looks sharp enough to me. Lighting reflects what you see in the cloud forest.
I agree about crop above the lower RH leave as i don't think it adds to the composition
HA is what it is . Did you get any of the males?
    Still nicely done

Thanks again everyone, appreciate taking the time to feedback.

Peter, I assume they are the ones with long tails and 'kinky' white boots:D If so, yes, but the head is turned away, or because of the DOF due to light I am reluctant to process/post. Very picky!!!

    cheers
