    We have an artist here in NY named Joe Mangrum who does these beautiful works of art in sand. It's painstaking stuff, usually takes 6 or 7 hours to complete. He usually works in Union Square but ventures out. This weekend, he's been in residence at an art show at Lincoln Center. It's the first time I got a chance to see his work in person and I'm glad I did. This image is a detail of a much larger circular pattern.
