I like the wing position and landing pose,you did very well. I would sharpen the bird more and hot spots on the wing are toast.

Typical crazy Egyptian Goose landing pose, Stuart. Nice and sharp. You could nudge back the reds on the legs a little. The highlight areas on the wings have the detail blown but are not clipped, having a strong cyan cast. It may be worth revisiting the raw to see if this can be eliminated. It may also be possible to open up a bit more detail in the dark areas. Love that sharp yellow eye.

Much better processing on the second image. The whites are so controlled that I'd actually be tempted to push them a bit further to the right so that they look white instead of gray.
