I love this time of year. This image was made Saturday while helping Dad with a workshop out on the Hooptie Duex. The light was a little harder than I would have really liked, but I made the best of it :)

Beautiful! Might clone out the dark spot between the legs.

Very nice catch, Doug! I actually missed that and removing it does improve the image.

Real nice. I like the "s" curve of the neck. Not much you could likely have done about it, but I wish the bill were all in one color zone rather than splitting light and dark.

Beautiful eye contact and eye of course. :)
Love the feeling of the image maybe coming from the dark bg.

    Hey Blake,

Very nice low angle. I have to agree about the spot but what I like the best is the contrast between the subject and dark BG which makes your subject POP!
Very good exposure and you did very well with the manual focus!

Awesome capture Blake and I particularly like the very coquette pose. You did a great job on the exposure and the BG as Maxis mentioned really does make the Roseate pop. I can not wait to get up there. !!!!!

Hey Blake this rocks! The nice low angle and the BG make this bird really stand out. A fitting image for a great new boat!
