Very different environment from what we usually see with Great Egrets, Milan. Looks nice and sharp and typical intense stare. I would like a see a slightly warmer version reducing the blueness of the snow and might clone out the small plants poking up throughout the snow. Posting your image closer to the 200Kb limit would reduce the JPG artifacting which is very prominent in the snow.

Beautiful shot. I like the white bird on the snow. Great composition.
I would crop a bit from the bottom.
Did you use a hide (or a car) for this shot?
I hope to get some good shots of them in three weeks when I am in the Neusiedler See Nationalpark in Austria.

Very pretty, unusual image; I like the little grasses peeking out and would not remove them and I also think I would crop some from the bottom.

I really like what you've tried to do here and love the mood. Never seen an egret on snow before. I wish for a bit more detail around the eye area to give the bird a bit more emphasis.

I see you have replaced the original image, Milan. I feel it looks better slightly warmer. If you choose to repost it is better to do it in a reply to the thread and leave the original image in place so that earlier comments are seen in context and used as a learning experience for other viewers.

    Hi Milane,

The composition is excellent but there's something going on with the
overall IQ, at least on my monitor. Not sure what is the problem?
Again, very nice bird, pose, and interesting and IMO very good composition.

It's not your monitor, Ilija. The blockiness is jpg artifact.
