    Default Yellowhammer

Another bird photo from Pori,Finland. Emberiza citrinella = yellowhammer.

    Canon 50D, 400@100-400L,f8,1/640, ISO 400

It is a little bit too center crop, but I did not want totally washed snow more to the photo as there already is. White snow with sunshine is a bit tricky lighting condition, if subject wil be other than silhouette :)

Geelgors in dutch. Recently removed from the list of endangered species here. Good portrait, shame of that diagonal branch on the left.

I appreciate your crop comment, but if the original raw file has enough IQ, I would suggest something like this version. Obviously cropped it heavily, toned down the snow in LUC, removed the stem and some loose seed debris.

You can do a much better job on the original, as the image quality of my rework on the jpeg is poor, but I do think it is worth a look about a redo.

    Cheers

Nice portrait. I agree with Randy's comments and suggested rework.

I will have to try that suggestion when I have time to do it. Btw, what is LUC?
