    Another Image from gatorland last week.
    To deal with a combination of light and shadows created by vegetation I decided to use flash as main source of light in this image.
    Canon 7D, 500mm F4+1.4x
    F11, 1/1000 ISO 200 Manual exposure
    580EX at +2

    Sid, composition is very very good. Great details and sharpness. But personally, am not a big fan of flash. One suggestion is to warm it up a bit. The green looks a bit on the bluer side.

    I really love this one Sid. I think it is one of your best. I don't think I have ever seen an egret image with this pose. The exposure is perfect as is the sharpness. I just might try lightening the eye a tad, and warming up the lores as KD said.

    Looking forward to more!!

    Lovely composition. I never saw the original but the re-post looks wonderful. I too am not a fan of flash but in this case it worked very well!
