    Default Water Lily (fractalius)

This photo of a water lily was processed using the Photoshop plugin Fractalius. This is a result of the "Glow 100" setting, plus a slight bit of tweaking in Lightroom.

(The original photo may be seen here.)

Great fract job, Mike. Love the vibrance of the yellow. It certainly has more impact than the original - though it's a nice capture:)

Mike, I like the effect on the Lily. Your original capture is nice also. It seems a tiny bit tight in the frame and I would evict the lone leaf in the left corner if it were mine. Very nice work and I am looking forward to your next one:)

Thanks for the positive feedback! I already increased the amount of room at the top, in order to let it "breathe" a bit. Though I like the tight framing, I'll probably try a version w/more space all around. Part of the problem with that approach is that additional "extras" like the lower leaf become visible. Still, good suggestion, thanks!

Well, you don't do what I first tried, and type in raw html :)

Instead, highlight the word you want to use as the link word (usually there's a better choice than "here" but that's how it went last night) and click the icon that looks like an earth/chain. That will bring up a dialog box where you can then enter the link.

    hope that helps,

    Mike

I like the Frac work here. Looked at the original and might clone out the pieces floating in the water and just get the lovely outline of the petals.

Thanks. While I think it might be a good idea to remove the leaf from the lower left, I actually like the "debris" that's floating right below the flower, as that's the cause of the bright highlight, which I sorta like :)
