This started out as an alligator who was a little too close for comfort:) I used a poster edge, then xero titanium,
then a nik bicolor layer. Thanks for looking.

    Comments and suggestions appreciated.

Yeah, that's close, Cheryl! Love his patterns and your rendering of them, although I'm not sure I want to be too close to admire them.

Great effect, Cheryl. I particularly like the leg treatment. Came up very well:) K

Cheryl, Very nice effect you came up with. I kinda wish the foot wasn't clipped but it is a nice up close crop. I like what the poster edges did to the straw.

Neat effect. For some reason the patterns in the leg remind me of the movie "Tron" (Yeah I'm old.) Really cool.

Nice image, Cheryl. Very interesting patterns, colors, and comp. I might clean up the BG on the right a bit.

Thanks everyone for your comments. I really was a little too close - he had been in the water and was watching me and came up on the bank and I was probably 15 feet from him (that's why his toe is clipped - I couldn't get
a better angle. I agree with Christopher about the BG on the right - I tried Denise's channel texture technique
on the image and the bg looked better in it - I think I'll do that and mask back in the gator and see if that
    improves it.:)
