Here is another resident of the finca in Costa Rica. This is a set-up at the feeder. All C&Cs welcome.

All these hummer images make me wish I lived in Costa Rica!! The profile, sharpness, and exposure are perfect here. I like the perch as well, but wish for it to be set up at a different angle to get more of it in focus.

    Looking forward to more!!

Very nice one Jim. I like the inquisitive look and the smooth BG. My only wish is to see a more defined perch.

Spectacular is the word that come to mind. I love the shallow DOF....it enhances the impact of the already incredible sharpness. Only suggestion is to desat the BG a bit.

Is this in natural light or did you remove the flash catchlights? whatever it is, works very very well. Thx for sharing this gem.

I agree with Aidan about the perch. It looks like it was a beautiful perch but we can't really see it here. But what we DO see is incredible. What colors! Very beautiful.

Hi Jim, Ive really enjoyed your series on these guys. Lovely green iridescence, sharp, with a good complimentary BG. I would have liked to have seen the perch in more focus.

This is really nice. Great BG and detail. Only wish for the perch to be place a bit diff so you could have gotten more of it in focus. As it is I find the off perch a bit distracting.
