    Preparing for the IFC Pro Tour Contest in April.. Here's one from the last contest. A male bronzed cowbird is fending off a female brown-headed cowbird.

    Amazing moment captured. Background is nice and clean but not flat. My only tiny nit would be I'm seeing some sharpening halos around the birds but only slight.

    Like the interaction a lot.

    I just barely see the sharpening halos Matthew noted and I had to really look for them.

    What grabs my eyes is that the post looks a bit hot...and it may well have been a light colored post to begin with but it's bright enough that it detracts to my eyes.

    I wonder how it would present with a bit more space below the female?

    I like the capture, the timing is great. The emotion holds your attention. Is'nt digital great.. to be able to capture an event our eye might not have grasped clearly!

    Another interesting photo with action and tension.
    I like the nice job on the blacks.
    I also wonder if a bit of room on bottom would improve the feel to this one.
