    Another image from my morning with these guys, I could't believe my luck when she jumped up on the mound with him and hung out for a while.

    40D, 500 f/4 + 1.4 TC, 1/640 at f/8, Aperture Priority, Evaluative Metered +1, Raw, ISO 400, Tripod, Cropped and a few OOF blades of grass have been cloned.

    Nice interaction between these two owls. Maybe take off the bottom and/or darken the dirt mound a bit.

    Like the poses and the interaction/ stare down :)

    I think that overall the image is a bit hot and the gamma needs to come down a bit.

    Enjoy the subject to background separation.
