    Here are an owl form Finland:



    Canon 50D, 390mm@100-400L, 1/250, f10, ISO 400.

    Crop wise, it is too centered. It is a tad dark. Keep them coming.

    I should have crop it better. What it comes to darkness, it was a cloudy day and there was not any kind of sun shine available. Photo is showing pretty well available lighting situation that was there then.

    Good shot under difficult conditions -- you might try a vertical crop

    I love the facial expression and I think the eye, feather, and tail details are really nice for the lighting conditions. Would like to know what the techs were, if you have them.
    I agree that a vertical crop might be nice.

    Hi,

    I just checked the original photo and notice that it is not cropped at all. So it would propably come too tight for vertical crop.

    Specs are: Canon 50D, 390mm@100-400L, 1/250, f10, ISO 400.

    Notice that you were really close:)
    If mine, I would probably just crop closer on the sides since full frame, putting the owl a little off center - but that is personal preference. It might put a little more emphasis on the owl. Again, really like the facial expression.
