    Default A romantic evening

    40D. 400 f/5.6 wide open. iso 400. 1/2500.

The colors are natural. saturation 0 and WB as daylight in DPP. picture style 'faithful'. Pure blacks created by pulling exposure down in DPP and tons of curves work. NR using neat image. No extra sharpening. I've probably gone a little overboard with PP this time around :-) But I liked the dramatic effect. I am going to pull back a little and try some different variations.

Cropped from horizontal. I had to crop more than I like as there were other pelicans and a log in the frame.

    All opinions welcome.

I like the idea, composition and idea. I only wish the BG were a little smoother.

I love the colours here . I might have avoided the -ve space on the top though . Maybe even gone with a square compo .

The curved line is opposite bank. Its not really that curved. The curve got even curvy due to my curves work. Some areas became darker near both the left and right edges.

It looks like the focus/sharpness is around their legs area. I would have liked it even more if they both were in focus, not below it.
