A recently found and processed image. This giraffe was a bit curious of the vehicle and the clouded conditions late in the day allowed for some great lighting.

Fantastic image Paul. Great comp and light. Especially like the puffy clouds and interesting shadows.

lovely shot Paul - I find them tricky to compose creatively for (maybe it's because they're normally too close to our vehicles down here) :)

the light and scene are special...

Lovely image. I like the colours and the composition. Any selective sharpening of the giraffe?

    Cheers,

Nice light and details. Not sure about the dark ridgeline running through the giraffe's head, my eye is pulled there. Overall very nice. TFS

Liked it a lot. very well composed and well processed image. There is something interesting in the DOF. the bright grass seems more blurred than the hills and the clouds. Or its probably just because of the lack of details in the grass. Anyways....I like that effect a lot. Tail takes it over the top IMO. Since the giraffe's body is pointing that way, I think a little more room on right will create a better balance.

I like the layered BG, and the giraffe pops so well from the BG.

    Hello Paul,

Wow !!! What a fantastic image of this giraffe within this splendid environment. The light is marvelous and you managed greatly the composition putting in evidence all those great and different elements...

The only little thing maybe is that the head is against 2 different zones (a clear one and a dark one) which is a little bit disturbing...

I really like that wonderful picure and thank you for sharing it with us :)

There is something about this image that makes me think it belongs in a book for children, ..so beautiful, sweet, and innocent. Great eye, Paul.

Have to go with all the good comments given. Love the BG layers and colors, and the giraffe is very well exposed.
