This was taken up at Viera about a month ago. There were lots of mergansers and one was able to get fairly close to them

    Judy:

Nicely captured with hood up and bill open!
Good exposure overall, with good detail in the blacks on his forehead.

My admittedly warped sense of composition wonders if a small crop down from the top, perhaps 1/4 of the free space, doesn't balance the reflection a bit better? Just personal preference.

    Cheers

    Randy

Very nice capture Judy, open bill a plus. Exposure and detail are right on. I like the crop as presented. TFS

A real beauty Judy! I like the open bill, reflection and eye contact in this image.

Liked it a lot. Unique angle to show the rather flat head of the hoodie. Very good exposure. Hoodie photos with details in whites and blacks are quite uncommon. Reflection adds a lot IMO.

A great display pose and good exposure control, Judy. I could see cropping just a little off the top. Well done.

Beautiful shot. I like the angle, the reflection and the open bill. The calm water is great, too.

Hi Judy - Nice shot of a very cool bird. The water looks great, as well. I'd tighten it up to show off your awesome work a little more....if you have the pixels left. Well done.
