    Default Summer Color

This image is from a bunch of day lily abstracts that I did last summer. Can't wait till there's some color around here again; I getting tired of just seeing white and brown outside.

For this image, I wanted a soft, high-key look, so I lightened it some, applied an orton effect, and added a light yellow vignette. Any comments and suggestions would be most appreciated.

Amen on waiting to see more color in our landscapes! I like the selective focus, Christopher. Nicely framed. I would like to see just a tad less opacity and more transition on the vignette - seems a bit abrupt in UR corner.

Christopher, This is sweet. The colors do remind me of spring and the diagonal comp. is lovely. I agree w/ Barbara about the vignette.

Like the nice, soft flow of this, Chris! Very nice subtle colors and I do agree with you about wanting to see some color. Enough already!!

    Hi Christopher,
Another vote for some colour - apparently our coldest winter for 50 years...
I love your image - soft and pretty and I don't mind the vignette.
    Best regards,
    Nicki

Christopher I spent all day thinking about my day lily abstracts and now I see one of yours! The Orton effect and soft blur put this over the top as does the diagonal raspberry color going down the front petal. Now I've got to go dig out one of mine!

Really beautiful Christopher. Love the diagonals and the softness. Also the dark and light.

Thanks a lot, everyone. Much appreciated! I'll try blending the vignette a bit more.

Lovely colors and softness Christopher. The composition is strong and the spot of reddish tones in the URC really reinforce that!
