    Just trying my hand with shore birds. never worked with them before so it was a new and wonderful experience

    Spec: 1/1250, F 7.1, ISO 400, +1/3

    Canon 40D + 500mm + 1.4TC

    Kiran, you nailed it. perfect pose with food in mouth and real nice low angle. I like the sloping beach.

    surely you nailed it. those hairy details and the openbill with such tiny visible little shell in mouth is gr8. awesome angle too.

    It looks just like our Wilson's Plover. Love the low angle and the SH and the prey item. A crop from the bottom and more canvas on the right (if you have it in the ORIG) would yield better compositional balance. Love the o-o-f foreground there is just too much of it. :)

    Lovely shot.
    I really like the pose and sharpness. And really well done on the low angle and setting the stage with the bit of fg and water in bg.
