So I'm all set for Mr. Painted Bunting to land on my perch and this guy plops down. It's kind of an odd view, but I like it. What do ya'll think?

An interesting looking bird and photo is nice and sharp where it needs to be.
I find the steep angle a bit distracting and a tad more head turn would have been nice.
    Good luck on the Bunting.

    Jeff:

It looks like he is looking for a raptor in the sky.

The head leaning away from us, makes the shooting angle look pretty steep.

    Did you use flash Jeff?

I might consider toning down the leaves in the foreground a bit.

    Cheers

No flash. The perch was at best a foot higher than the camera and about 19 feet away.

    Jeff:

Thanks for the info. Truly must be the tilted head that gives the steep angle look.

    Cheers

Ahh. Thanks for pointing that out about the head angle.
