    Nikon D300 200-400VR 1.7TC ISO400 1/5000 f/6.7 EV -1 CW HH

    This is a second in the same burst with a little different look. This one had a very large wingspan and shadow control was difficult. I could have cropped much tighter but felt it was apropriate for my 12x18 format.

    Bill:

    It looks like that your efforts to bring up the far wing brought out some noise. The bird looks a bit bluer than I would expect, esp. the far wing.

    Nice color in the lores. I do think the eye could stand a bit more sharpening.

    Did you run noise reduction?

    I like the eye contact in this one and might put the bird higher in the frame. I agree that it is noisier than one might expect. I wish the wings were all the way down.
