    love the mustard bill on these guys and this is the first beach pick i ever got of one!!! i know it's a SANDWICH tern. just having fun.:) taken yesterday at boynton inlet.

    D300, 300mm at f/7.1, 1/4000s, ISO 640, manual exposure. i changed the ISO very shortly after this down to 400.

    Harold what is the object coming off the leg it looks artificial

    just water. it looks VERY real in the tiff. lose the fine detail when shrinking down for web.

    Whites look good, I would remove sand edge. Like the f/7.1 since the DoF is probably not affected with wider aperture.

    I think I agree with jeff...take off the sand edge and maybe add some canvas on the left

    Hi Harold - Lots to like here - exposure looks good -Good HA and eye contact.
    Like the 7.1 - - good idea - Stop down when there is nothing in the BG to worry about.

    Great exposure Harold, I will go against the grain and say I like the strip of sand, seems to ground the image.

    Nice low angle. I wish I could get this amount of detail in the whites with the Terns we have here.
