    Default Abstract - Winter Color

I took this photo back in early February while experimenting with motion blurs. In this one, I liked the contrast between the young, yellow-green pine trees in front and the dark woods behind.

In PP, I boosted up the color and contrast to match my vision for it. I also added a touch of the orton effect, gave the snow a slight yellow tone, and lightened the edges of the image just a tad. Any comments and suggestions would be most appreciated!

Very nice Christopher. I really like your colour palette and motion blur. The only thing better might be have all white to frame it at the bottom. but I am sure that would be hard to do:) Very lovely.

Christopher, I love the colors and the layered look to this. It's one of my new favorites of yours!:)

Christopher, I love the blur and the colors are so nice and soft. I am not really all that fond of the white at the bottom and wonder what it would look like with about half of that area out - leaving just a hint of it at the bottom? For me, it is still too stark to go with the rest of the soft and graceful image.

Thanks for the nice comments, Mark, Jackie, Denise, and Jules. Much appreciated! :)

Jules, I experimented with your idea just with a browser crop and I think you might have a good idea there, though I'm not 100% sure because I do still like my original framing too.

Jackie, I like your idea of all white at the bottom. It would rather hard to do with this particular shot, but I think there's another location that I might be able to get a shot with all white at the bottom. I'll give it a go next time I'm out with my camera.

Hi Christopher, I like this one a lot! Very pleasing colors and lovely abstract imagery. Well done!
