This hummingbirds wings sound really close to the sound of a bees wings. I only had a couple of chances to get him. This is a set-up near the feeder in Costa Rica. All C&Cs welcome.

Nice catch. The head and eye are nicely placed and detailed. Even if a set-up, the perch is nice as well. I might lighten the eye a bit more to bring out the iris (I do see that it is there). The feet are great.
I might have been tempted to increase the ISO to get a smaller aperture as you were close - it would help to get more of the tail and details of feathers in focus.

You are right about the sound of the wings. I love to listen when I am trying to photograph the hummers that visit my yard.

Beautiful pose and wonderful lighting and color. I agree a larger F stop would have given the tail a tad more detail. Love the BG in this image and the complimentary colors.. Very lovely Jim and thanks for sharing.

Lovely colors, lots of detail and I really like the alert pose...it would have been a bonus to have that long tail in focus.

Jim, I have enjoyed your hummingbird photos a lot. You have captured the iridescence beautiful. Superb comp. I prefer BGs with some color variations and this one is sweet.

Hi Jim, I like the stately pose, and that green iridescence is really striking. Well captured.
