This is an abstract of a Gnu at Lion Country Safari. It is a close-up image of the Gnu's mouth area, in case you didn't recognize it! ;)

Modification Included; Ink Outline, Poster Edge, Accent Edge, Twirl, Shear, Brightness & Contrast and Hue & Saturation.

    Enjoy.

I think you were meant to be a graphic artist Mark. More bold colours and designs. I think you are in your element with abstracts. Would have guessed lava flow.:)

Thanks for viewing and comments, Jackie. Appreciate it.

Maybe your right and to think I spent my life "building city's", as my wife likes to say, in engineering.

This might have been lava, except for the beard! ;)

Yeah Mark, the beard gives it away :D :D Seriously, it's true that you are really in your element with the abstracts. I particularly like that all your bold colors and movement really compliment each other.

This leads the eye on a colorful pathway, Mark. Love the strong flowing lines. Never having seen a gnu I take your word for it that it's the 'mouth' of one:) Great abstract.

Thanks Dave and Kora for viewing and comments. Appreciate it.

Kora, you may know the Gnu by its more common name of Wilderbeast. But "No Gnus is Bad Gnus". :(

This is an unprocessed image, with orientation as posted. FYI. ;)

Very unique abstract look Mark. I kinda wish the curves weren't cut off-but it is still an unusual look.

Neat image but you get twenty lashes for the bad pun! ;):D

I enjoy the bright colors and the implied motion they bring out but would love to have seen this as a horizontal with those wide sweeping curves carrying the eye all the way through the image.

Thanks Denise and Jules for viewing and comments. Appreciate it.

Still learning to work with the shear filter, but believe this is better than if it were kept in the frame. It makes the image greater than the whole and much of it does keep you traveling throughout the image. Just my personal vision of it. Appreciate yours as well.

Jules, it was hard enough to get him to flip over, much less lie spread out in the horizontal! :D He is a big beast afterall! Appreciate your comment and it is definately another vision.

Sure is an ugly critter, Mark. Thanks for enlightening me. Very creative to abstract your image from it:) Kora

Mark, another really nice abstract:) I love the wandering lines of color - it looks like a winding road (with

Mark, so - is this a "Gnu Wave" of images? :D Love the colors and the nice bold "s-curve" design element. You are now an engineer of images!!
