    Chisos Basin campground, Big Bend Nat'l Park
    This cactus wren and a mockingbird took turns posing on a century plant
    full frame, D300 500 f/4 +TC 1.7,
    1/500, f/6.7, ISO 400
    Tripod + CB gimbal LS
    Sun is not directly behind me, but when I moved to the left, I got more shadows of the distant mountains in the background

    PP LR3 beta, changed WB from auto to daylight, sharped and noise reduction

    Mack, I like the pose, composition, and BG. There is a shadow right above the eye-maybe you could lighten that a bit.

    Interesting perch, good head angle and BG. The light angle is not ideal as you said. Is this a heavy crop? There seems to be a lack of fine details.

    Actually, its not cropped at all. Maybe too much compression for posting, the overall file size was only 107 kb
