    Default Scanning Pied Kingfisher

    I was waiting for this guy to take off to the left, which most times he would have. I have the take off shot, but he actually turned around and flew away from me. These Kingfishers normally perch on higher branches scanning the water below for fish. Taken about a year ago at Mankwe hide, Pilanesberg Nature reserve.

    The exposure is bang on , sharpness is fine & BG is lovely . Like the look down pose . Feels a little tight on the top .

    Great pose and HA. Love the way the b&w bird stands out against the handsome green BG. Blacks and whites look well exposed. Agree that maybe 1 cm could be taken off the bottom, same added to the top.
