    Default GREEN

After a solid month of ice, snow and overcast skies the sun finally peeked it's head out today! I was out and about at the crack of dawn to photograph some of the ice flows before they melt when I came upon this - a patch of grass sticking up from all that snow. No big deal at first until I realized some of that grass was GREEN!

    Hallelujah, spring is coming!!! :D:D:D

i cant promise that spring is coming, i hope it is, but snow acts like a winter blanket for grass and actually keeps it warmer! i'm ready for the warmer weather too!!!!

Given our midwestern winter.....any sign...however small....as a sign of hope that spring will be coming. I have to wait until the tall piles of snow along the edge of the driveway melt to see if my daffodils are popping up.

Yeah! Birds are singing like crazy here today and the cardinals are getting into their finest feathers. Can't be long. Love your image!

Too tired of the cold and rain. we have had one of the wettest fall and winter here in Dallas. Sooo looking forward to the spring. When the first noise I hear in the mornings is that of a house finch, I know spring cant be far. Mourning doves have started scouting spots for nesting. And the Great egrets have got their green lores.
