Love the detail and the eye contact. I did not realize they had a curved beak. Nice shot!

It's really a nicely detailed portrait and complimentary BG. If it were mine I would crop from the bottom to eliminate the "partial" legs and the foliage. I took the liberty of making a sample crop.....hope you don't mind. It is a really nice image.

Nice profile - sharp with good detail and complimentary BG. Lana's crop is an improvement.

Sharp as can be. I like Lana's repost but I sorta liked the green.... A bit wider would have worked too. Were you in a car? A blind?

I was in a blind. I took this during the Coastal Bend Wildlife Photography Contest last spring. It didn't place:(

Thanks Jeff. And thanks for your membership support. Here's why I asked: did you have another lens in the blind with you or a pro body?

I guess they don't do much good in the camera bag. My guess is you'll recommend I should have been ready with the 5D and 100-400mm:)

Or, have the 5D handy; after a few tight images, you could have put the 5D on the 600. And or, put the 40D on the 1-4. BTW, I like the original COMP too. But options are a good thing.
