Our local airport terminal was relocated a few years ago and the abandoned area has allowed wildlife to be more visible. I walked with this pair for awhile until they were comfortable to be themselves for this shot. It was taken with not my best camera and lens but the composition worked will I think. Beautiful birds, I have enjoyed them also in the back fields of Harnes Marsh in our local area. Maybe this is "old hat" to some but I always feel that it is special to be by these birds.
The pose of the parents regarding the colt is great! I wish there was a bit more room on the left, and in a perfet world, if the colt was looking up at them, it would be even sweeter.
