I've been hooked on Fractalius for a while now... never a dull moment with it and tons of possibilities...

here's a link to a captive Barred Owl that can't be released due to injuries she sustained (is now used as an educational ambassador by the raptor rehabber she lives with: http://arcadian7.deviantart.com/art/...tare-125900286 (post-processed with Fractalius using Glo 100 and some digital removal of background)

another rendition of the same Barred Owl image http://arcadian7.deviantart.com/art/...etch-125900716

    Mute Swan... http://arcadian7.deviantart.com/art/...ions-123599085

another program I was turned onto was Fotosketcher... it's a free download with nice possibilities too...

here's an autumn scene taken locally to me using Fotosketcher oil painting...

Donna, Big welcome to OOTB. Anyway you could upload your image for viewing.
    One image per day please.:)
I downloaded the image and tried to make it larger for viewing on the web. It lost some of the IQ at this size.

    Hi Denise

Thank you for the welcome... wish I could upload the images directly here but I'm just a participant... not a paid member...

I was just looking at your website... VERY inspiring work!

Donna, The owl looks nice. I'm sure the image quality is better in the orig. before I downloaded it from the net. I like the pose and the use of the fractalius filter. I think the BG color looks unusual-what is it? I might try to tone down the outline esp. on the right side, really creative looking image and I think you did a great job matching up the filter to the image.:)
Thank you much for your kind words.:)

I just chose a color from the color palate in Photoshop Elements that I liked. It was added by the airbrush feature.

Donna, I thought it was a color that was in the original BG since it was a captive owl. Makes sense now. Thanks:)

Welcome to OOTB, Donna! :) Love the pose and frac effect. Agree with Denise on the outline. Well done.

Thanks, Christopher... it was one of the first I did and hadn't had a chance to revisit it for clean up... I do see what you both mean with the bright outline... it could do with some darkening.
