    Default Happiness-Sandhill Crane Chick

I cut off the head on one image and the feet on the next image:eek:. So I merged them together.
I was so happy to see these little chicks. Artie took me to the Lake by his house to photograph these:). I never saw a Sandhill Crane chick so this was a special treat.

Great job with the head replacement. Many folks have suggested that I need one of those :) Everybody who comes to my house gets the chick flapping in place image. In all my years of photographing the chicks I have never gotten one. :(

Love the purple flowers and the inquisitive look. The bird is so cute that I can live without the virtual feet. A crop from our left might better balance it. All in all, however, very well done.

ps: I like cute chicks also.

Well done, Denise. And talk about cute overload! Image those little wings becoming a 6 foot wingspan. I agree with Artie's crop suggestion, given how the little chick is leaning to the right.

Definitely cute! The soft colors of the grass and flowers really complement the softness of the little chick. If you hadn't mentioned cutting off the head and feet and having to merge some images, I would never have noticed.

Unbelievably, adorably cute - love the chick and the flowers! He's so cute, he almost looks like a child's toy. Skillful surgical work on the head/feet blend. This is just a wonderful, happy image.

Great surgery, Denise:) Love the softness you achieve with your images, whilst still retaining the clarity. Bit of an oxymoron I know, but I can't think of another way to describe it. Kora

Happiness it is! Denise, this really is too adorable! Might lighten the darker area of the BG on the right side if it were mine and Artie's crop sounds right. What a great image, though...I can't wait for our baby birds to be born in May!

    Hey Denise,
With Artie on the crop and getting rid of the feet/blurring them more. All cuteness is in top portion while the base forms a perfect frame.
