    For the last couple of years I have been going to Ft Desoto in April starting to finalize my plans for this year and can't wait to get back.

    40D, 500 f/4, 1/500 at f/8, Aperture Priority, Evaluative Metred + 2/3, ISO 200, Raw, Tripod, cropped

    Don, this works for me, and I like the curve of the neck. you have captured good sharp detail around the head and bill, and lovely colours there too. Stands out well from the complimentary BG.

    I like the light, sharpness, eye contact and BG. I might crop a tad off the bottom and add a little bit on the left but like it as is.

    I really like this. Incredible details. S curve makes a strong comp. Sweeet BG and perfect exposure. Excellent head-angle as well. All bases covered IMO.
