This dying cala lily I thought was appropriate for the theme. Lots of texture layers, B and W sketch Frac, Orton, were some used. Tried using darker colours and also liqufied the tip of the flower to exaggerate it.
    C and C appreciated. Thanks.

Jackie, I like the dramatic look you created here. The colors and the composition are very pleasing. Beautiful textured BG and the details in the flower are lovely!:)

The mood and lighting on this flower is so appealing - I really like the treatments you have given this subject.

Very nice image, Jackie. I love the colors and textured BG. Very elegant comp, and the flower stands out nicely from the BG.

The exaggerated tip does point (pardon the pun) to the flower dying. Love the way you've handled the light, the colors and the textured background. Kora

Jackie, Very well done! I like the way you have taken an image of a sad fact of nature and made it into a beautiful work of art. The colors and texture are very soothing.

Another excellent use of textures here, Jackie! The muted color palette really brings out the mood and the tip of the flower is beautifully done!
