Red-breasted Nuthatch

Photogrpahed this little guy a couple of weeks ago. This one and a female are quite attracted to a feeding station attached tothis very tree. Unwary and very approachable, but in continuous non-stop mode ;-) I kept this photo on the sombre side of things light-wise as this was the mood I felt and saw in this part of the forest on a thickly cloud-covered day.

Canon Rebel XT + 100-400L @400mm, 1/125s., f6.3, ISO400, fill-flash, handheld.

Oh I like this. I like the lighting you chose. I might get rid of the brightest catch light from the flash and just let the natural light take over.
