OK...haven't been here in a while.....no macro ops in Tanzania! Went out today in the rain and grey with Susan Candelario to try some water drops. Had a few new ideas....here's the first. Marble type rocks (craft store) in the bottom of the pan. Motor oil (Mike Moats kind of gave me the idea with swamp oil) floated on the top and swirled around. 3 strobes.
Canon 1D Mark lll with a 100mm macro at f22 for 1/200 sec and ISO 400.

Roman, Really cool looking Collision. I like the marbled look w/ the colors -the collision looks great on a slight angle, also nice and sharp. I know you guys must have had a great time and I wish I could have been there. :)

Love it, Roman! The rocks really set this one off nicely as does the oil. Beautiful, clear details in the drop as well. Love the low angle and the colors most of all.

Wow! Great details, Roman. Drops contrast well with the low key rocks and motor oil suspension. TFS.

Very cool abstracty image. These water splashes are very cool. Great job on the combination of oil and stones.
